Things I Learned Along The Way

I am not made for greatness in men's eyes
Many have attained greatness only to lose it to disgrace

I am not made for fame in men's eyes
Hard earned fame today is tomorrow's has-been

I am not made for inventing new concepts or things
The new becomes the obsolete with the passage of time

All that is formed is temporary until it is destroyed
All that is acquired must be left behind

I am here only to live and experience living
For Life is Divine
And Life cannot be ended

I am here only to love and experience loving
For Love is the Creative Power of Life
And Love is eternal.

I am here only to Be and experience Being
For Being is the vastness from which all Becoming springs forth
And Being is All That Is.
